Th eindustrious souls that owned my trailer previously wanted to add an electrical outlet for a laptop. But as with a lot of previous owners their
"improvements" caused some real problems. They drilled the screws directly through the propane line that goes to the propane lamp. To give scale the
copper line is 1/4 in.
So I'm wondering how I can go about fixing this. My HVAC BIL claims you can just get a copper sleeve, some solder and a propane torch and solder it. Easy squeezy but how safe is it? I've looked at the local RV supply and all I see are the new (significantly larger diameter) reinforced poly line. So I'm wondering what some of you have done to repair the copper lines or if you just upgraded. The regulator and bottles are relatively new and have been inspected.
