Recently returned from a trip to Grasslands National Park. http://www.pc.gc.ca/eng/pn-np/sk/grasslands/index.aspx it had been raining the day of our arrival and the road in was a bit mucky, I am glad I had 4 wheel drive. Saw some Plains Bison near the entry, they are rather large . . . anyway here is a picture of our rigs once we arrived at the campsite. (please don't make a big fuss at the non vintage camper of my companion . . .)
The next day was about as perfect as it can be, my camera does not even come close to capturing the immensity of the landscape
Hard to believe this is all that is left of the river that carved this valley which is 12 miles wide in places.
Here are the remnants of some corrals of the Larson Ranch part of which became the park, the Larson Ranch was the the last remnant of the 76, the largest ranch in Canada before the turn of the previous century.
And to wrap up one last picture of my fellow traveller cooking us some breakfast on my 1962 Coleman 4M (same year as my camper)
