I'm so glad that this wonderful Westerner is now in "The Family"!
I don't know how many views its eBay listing got, but most of 'em were mine! I spent boo-coo time last weekend pouring over those pics, and judging by them, as well as the seller's description of its condition, you got yourself a fantastic entry into the world of vintage trailers. And if I wasn't currently wazoo deep in my own vintage trailer ('63 Shasta), and vintage truck ('52 Chevy) restorations, I think that one of my all time favorites would now be on its way to Northern California instead of Texas! Just kidding ......sorta......:) I'm not looking for another project of any kind at the moment, but I've always been fond of Westerners and not many come up for sale, especially in that condition.
If its as good as it looks, and the sellers work is as good as it appears to be, you got a great deal on one of the all-time classics of the era.
Granted, it's nearly 60 years old, and none of these "stick & tin" trailers were ever intended to survive this long, so they all have their issues. But from what I can tell from photos, many on the most common issues on this one have been either dealt with or it just lucked out and avoided them.
Having the original appliances, cabinetry, ceiling,  western-themed upholstery, ( !!!!!) and flooring in that condition is very rare indeed. If that linoleum can be rescued, even if you have to spend a few $$  to have it professionally conserved, its well worth it in my opinion. Its just sooo cool, and soooo rare. If it turns out that its just too far gone, Marmoleum makes very high quality "real" linoleum, and they have some patterns that are very period appropriate. Friends used it in their vintage kitchen remodel last year and it really looks "right"

So, I think that you've got a great starting point to our hobby, (oh, but it's soooooooo much more than a mere "hobby" ain't it Rob? And VK? and most everyone else on this wonderful forum? ) but it'll still require enough of your sweat equity to make it interesting for you and to make it "yours".
Yes, I'm jealous :)    But I'm very happy for you, and am looking forward to more pics and posts from your trip and your progress on the remaining "to-do" list.
